Treat Time

Darren and Tegan are both enjoying themselves on this lazy Saturday. Top Pot has become a family favorite. I am partial to the pink feather boa, and Darren always chooses the donut that looks the biggest. Today it was the maple bar!

A Chilly Day at the Zoo

Darren and I decided that today was a good day to visit the zoo, despite the cold. Turns out, it was one of our best visits ever! The animals were all out and there was hardly anyone there.

Our first stop was the gorilla exhibit. They were all takin' it easy by the glass.

No one else was around, so we had a front row view.

Tegan liked watching the animals, but she LOVED watching the other kiddos!

My favorite part of the day was when this elephant came up close for a visit.

We even saw this guy working on a little bit of art. He spent most of the time eating his pen and paper.

We finished off the outing at Fresh Flours. Their hot cider is pretty darn good!

A few moments after this last shot was taken Tegan spilled that entire mug of cider. Thankfully, it had cooled.

Some fun pics

Snuggled into mom and dad's bed.

In her stylish new hat.

Lunch with dad at Mukilteo Coffee House.

Evaluating the Christmas tree's light and ornament situation.

Just realized the new hand bell toy was for her and not Aunt Laura.

Date on the Swings

Yesterday Tegan and I headed down to Redmond for some fun with Megan and Jacob. We even got to see Molly for a little while too! Tegan and Jacob had a great time on the swings, and the park had tons of farm animals to boot. Here are some photos of our great Friday adventure.

Saturday morning (routine?)

Yesterday i took the girls to mill creek town center for a walk, some coffee, and a treat. It was a little colder than usual which gave us an opportunity to trot out Tegans huge pink sherpa coat. (thanks for the hand me down Eva!)

After purchasing K's favorite coffee at the spotted cow we visited Frost donut shop and hastily downed two of our favorites: bacon maple bar and german chocolate cake.

About this time we got ahold of our friends who were walking the mill creek garage sale. We joined them in hopes of finding some bigger clothes for tegan who is, quite frankly, a really big little girl. We did manage to wheel and deal a huge handful of gently used pjs and sweaters from a kind old woman, but the deal of the day was not found there.

Shortly down the road i saw a pile of cds and lying on the top was sufjan stevens' 5 disc boxed christmas compilation. For a buck. I am super stoked to have some quality christmas music finally. No warm 106.9 at our house!
