1 Amazing Year

I was thinking about it this morning, and it's hard to believe that Darren and I were in a stuffy Best Western in Houston last May 11th. We got an unforgettable call at 6:15 in the morning telling us that our baby girl was waiting for us. I don't think I've ever been ready so quickly in my life. The next 10 days in Texas were some of the most emotional times and incredible moments I've ever experienced. Here are a few photos of those first few days with our baby Tegan in Texas.

Our little girl continues to change each day as more and more of that fabulous personality shines through. We are so thankful for this precious gift we've been given, and every moment we get to share. Happy 1st Birthday, Tegan!

Darren caught Tegan standing up over the tub checking to make sure all of her toys were in and ready to play with.

Slurp!

, originally uploaded by chogunn.

This is, hands down, Darren's favorite picture of Tegan right now.

January - March

It has been a super busy January, February, and March. Here are a few pictures taken throughout it - most of them are of Tegan but occasionally you'll spot Darren or Kryssa. We went to Ballard, we've been playing in the sunshine on the deck, gone to the park, and spent a lot of time jumping around the house. Enjoy!

I love this video. I don't know if it was the cold temperature of the door, or if there was something that tasted good on it, but Tegan went to town for a good five minutes.

And today we went to our favorite park - "North Creek Wetlands". There are some pictures of our trip in the slideshow above, but below is a video of Tegan enjoying the swing.

Musical genius

While I thought it would be years before we would begin to think about music lessons for Tegan, she has become a self-taught musician over the course of a few weeks. Her instrument (or instruments) of choice is a set of blocks that have holes in the characters' heads. We're quite proud of our little prodigy:)
